Goal: Get your Partner on Their Back
Tips:
Gripfight your way in (Put your hands on the outside of your partner’s hands).
Stand in a wrestling stance.
Observe how your partner is reacting to you and respond accordingly.
Partner Pushes into your hands: Shove the hands back,
No Responses: Push people shoulders so they fall to the ground
Variations on grabbing the feet
Option 1: Grab both feet, elevate your partner, and step into headquarters.
Option 2: Grab 1 foot (under the heel), pull the foot out and lift up.
Partner Leaning Forward : threaten the guillotine/attack the head so your partner will arch away to escape, and you can grab the feet, elevate your partner, and step into headquarters
Partner Sitting in a Diamond Shape: Step into the side of the groin, dig underhook and push down into headquaters. Getting into headquaters. step in on the same side that your oppent is leaning toward
Getting into Headquaters once on thier back
Whatever side your partner is leaning toward, that’s the side you will step in with & squat down into headquaters position from there

Controls
Goal: Headquaters allows you to get past your opponent’s feet
Feet
One of your partner’s legs is trapped between your legs (by squatting on your opponent’s foot/ partner’s foot in on your hips).
Hook your foot onto your partner’s shin
Bodyweight
lean your weight forward
Hands
base your hand on the the side where you are sitting on your partner’s foot.
Your other hand shouold be on your partner’s knee
Finishes
Finishes are dependent on where your partner’s knee is in relation to your belly button
Knee on the outside of your hips: KNee Cut
Knee is in the middle and pushing away: hurdle over the leg and jump into mount
Driving across the hip (toward the inside): Smash pass

Tips

You can’t be afraid of getting close to your partner.
Track your partner’s knees (not just their hooks).
Focus on getting your shin pushed into your partner’s knee pit.
Squat down on your partner’s legs (headquarters is awesome).
